First built as an aristocratic villa in 1914, the hotel still retains its original Liberty-style elegance. There is a spectacular view of the Bay and the coast from the beautiful terrace where the buffet breakfast is served when the weather is nice.

Hotel Miramare was first known for its famous restaurant-piano bar, The Shaker Club, which was open from the 1940s to mid-1980s. This was a very popular nightclub which attracted many celebrities, dignitaries, and other top industrial leaders to the hotel. At that time, it was possible to dock boats in front of the Miramare. Boats are now docked a little further up the coast at Mergellina Port. The charming terrace boasts views of the bay. Other facilities include 2 hammocks, chairs and umbrellas, a lobby with 3 sitting rooms with 2 pianos/additional TV room near elevator/solarium.
